weight loss is as simple as a math problem. calories in vs calories out. if you burn more cals than you intake, you lose weight. the more deficit, the faster you lose weight.
i lost weight quickly through unhealthy methods because i relapsed into my ed. my calorie intake was very low and my calories burned through exercise was very high. i also fasted often and drank lots of water and tea to feel good.
here are some (healthy!) ways to lose weight:
- drink more water, green tea, zero cal drinks
- aim for 64oz water or more per day!
- green tea is wonderful for your health :)
- peppermint tea is great to kill a binge
- ginger lemon tea is lovely for tackling issues with bloating
- eat lower-cal foods/avoid foods that are super high in calories
- focus on fruits and veggies, especially whole and raw!
- avoid calorie-dense foods like oil, fried foods, processed foods, sugar, empty carbs, etc
- exercise more often and with more intensity
- cardio is important, but so is weight lifting
- yoga is a really nice lower-impact exercise
- a variety of exercises is key!
- track your calories and follow a calorie limit (this is my #1 tip!)
- download calorie-tracking apps on your phone
- i use cronometer for food tracking
- i use happy scale for weight tracking
- look at inspirational pics on tumblr, instagram, magazines, etc
